Sketchbook Update, September
There’s a small but interesting Art of the Pacific Islands exhibit that I plan to return to. Of particular interest, though I didn’t draw it, is a skull rack. Carved by New Guinean headhunters, it was “used to hang the skulls of victims (from the figures’ arms and legs) and displayed in ceremonial houses.” Straight out of Indiana Jones.
And I drew some folk in the courtyard, including a fat security guard, a skinny, hip dad & a kid trying to shove an entire apple in his mouth.
And some goofing off.
