Aztecs & Incas at LACMA
Yesterday I went to LACMA to draw people in the courtyard. Before I sat down, I decided to stroll through the Resnick Pavilion to see what replaced the Tim Burton exhibit. Turns out, two awesome exhibits replaced it, the rich & varied Contested Visions in the Spanish Colonial World and the super-swanky California Design. I don't know if I'll end up doing any drawings from the California Design exhibit (though if you look at my work it's pretty damn clear all I do is steal from that period), but I'm already excited to go back & draw more cool Aztec, Inca & Spanish Colonial art. Here are a few quick sketches from yesterday. All brush pen in Moleskine Cahier.
